2nd Shift Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** As a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment, including robots. You will ensure the general upkeep and maintenance of the entire facility, diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic and electrical components, and work collaboratively with others to troubleshoot and test electrical and mechanical equipment. **Responsibilities** + Maintain, diagnose, and repair or replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment, including robots. + Conduct general upkeep and maintenance of the entire facility. + Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic and electrical components such as relays, switches, motors, and circuit boards. + Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, and replace damaged or broken wires or cables. + Work with others to test, troubleshoot, and diagnose malfunctions on electrical and mechanical equipment and machines, and test operation following repair. + Maintain and complete routine maintenance schedules on equipment. + Repair broken parts using metalworking tools such as lathe, drill press, or grinder. + Replace electric motor bearings and rewire motors. + Understand and follow Lockout/Tag out procedures. + Assist a certified contractor with planning and installing layout, wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus as needed, including power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment. **Essential Skills** + 6 months of experience in preventative/predictive maintenance working on conveyors, pumps, seals, and aligning motors. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. + Proficiency in using standard hand and power tools (drills, hammer, tape measure, etc.). + Experience with drilling into PLC. + Ability to maintain accurate and timely maintenance logs. + Proficient in operating a computer, as 30% of the shift involves computer work, and comfort with learning new systems. + High school diploma or equivalent. + Must have own tool set including sockets, wrenches, hammers, and screwdrivers. **Work Environment** This role is based in a large open factory/plant floor with dim lighting due to welding stations. The facility features large overhead cranes and good ventilation throughout the building. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LAKE CRYSTAL, MN. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr.
