2nd Shift Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** As a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for working on steel splitter equipment, forklifts, and various material handling equipment. This role involves electrical troubleshooting and wiring at different voltage levels, as well as mechanical tasks related to motors, gears, hydraulics, and pumps. The maintenance department also engages in welding and fabricating carts, guards, and miscellaneous materials for the plant. **Responsibilities** + Perform electrical troubleshooting and wiring for 120V, 220V, 480V, and 3-phase motors and circuits. + Conduct mechanical repairs involving motors, gears, hydraulics, and pumps. + Engage in welding and fabrication tasks for plant equipment and materials. + Repair forklifts and other material handling equipment. + Utilize rigging equipment such as forklifts or overhead cranes to move or install equipment. + Experience with Brake Press operations is advantageous. + Read and interpret electrical prints. + Travel to Chicago or Detroit facilities for day trips; overnight trips will be planned with expenses covered. **Essential Skills** + Electrical troubleshooting and wiring expertise. + Proficiency with motors, gears, and pumps. + Welding and fabrication skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Plastic injection background is a plus. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy quarterly bonuses and have the flexibility to choose an alternative start time to overlap with the first shift on a 10-hour schedule. You will work in a dynamic environment involving travel to other facilities, with all travel expenses paid for planned overnight trips. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grandville, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
