We are seeking a dedicated general production worker to join our team in manufacturing metal wire and bar products within the fastener industry. The role involves operating various manufacturing equipment to ensure production runs smoothly and efficiently.
ResponsibilitiesOperate manufacturing equipment such as wire drawing equipment, grinders, mills, and annealing furnaces according to prints and specifications.Produce required quantities of materials within established specifications and tolerances.Measure finished parts with precision tools to ensure compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.Maintain logs and records of units produced, including records of errors resulting in rejected or discarded materials.Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; perform basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.Perform other related duties as assigned.Essential SkillsMinimum of 1 year experience in general production work or general labor within a manufacturing environment.Ability to follow directions and work well independently and in a team.Thorough understanding or ability to quickly learn production equipment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Understanding of and ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.Proficiency in reading and understanding instructions in English.Ability to closely follow instructions and read documents.Effective verbal and written communication skills with managers and coworkers.Ability to maintain quality practices and safety standards.Willingness to work overtime as required.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience within a very industrial work environment.Why Work Here?Enjoy comprehensive benefits including dental, health, life, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off. Work EnvironmentThe work environment is very industrial, requiring adherence to strict safety standards including steel-toed boots. The position is for the 2nd shift, running from 3:30 PM to 1:00 AM, Monday to Friday, with heavy overtime on weekends. Emphasis is placed on the importance of attendance and willingness to work overtime.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
