Join our team as a 2nd Shift Flux Core Welder, where you will contribute to creating custom metal projects using carbon steel and stainless steel. Your role involves performing MIG and Flux-cored welding, which is akin to using a metal 'hot glue gun' to join metal pieces permanently. You will work with both MIG and Flux-core welding techniques, ensuring that heavy steel work is accomplished efficiently and effectively.
ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG and Flux-cored welding on various metal components.Read and interpret blueprints and welding drawings to complete jobs accurately.Collaborate with production and engineering personnel as required.Maintain consistency with project specifications, material requirements, and quality standards.Operate within shop conditions involving common welding hazards such as fumes, burns, noise, and exposure to grinding and industrial machinery.Work independently using effective time-management skills.Uphold safety procedures and proper use of PPE at all times.Essential SkillsProficiency in flux core and MIG welding.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform fitting and fabrication tasks.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in tight or elevated spaces.Knowledge of welding shop hazards and safe operation of tools and equipment.Experience in steel fabrication or machining environments preferred.Why Work Here?We offer premium insurance coverage, a 100% match on 401K plans, and competitive bonuses in June and December. Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves shop conditions with common welding hazards. Our 2nd shift hours are from 3 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with training conducted during the 1st shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. Saturdays and Sundays are non-working days. Employees are expected to adhere to safety procedures and use personal protective equipment at all times.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
