Caterpillar is seeking a 2nd Shift Fabrications Production Manager in Athens, GA. In this role, you will collaborate with the team and maintaining and improving processes and systems and the manufacturing of the products produced in the facility. Further you will analyze and recommend current and future systems procedures and equipment needs based on manufacturing Requirements
What you can look forward to in this role:
Running a Small Business unit for People, Quality, Velocity, and CostMonitors and improves shop floor safety, aggressively eliminates unsafe processes Assures fixtures, tooling and processes are followed to meet production schedulesDetermines priorities and sequences jobsSchedules and prioritizes constrained resources, and adjusts staffing to meet flow and customer requirementsDetermines and executes disciplinary action when appropriateProcures and distributes production material to meet schedulesEnsures preventive maintenance is performed according to scheduleImplements, Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, Internal Certification and othersEvaluates, assess, identifies and leads the deployment of workforce trainingA successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:
Production Training: Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for delivering formal and informal training on the safe and efficient operation of production machinery; ability to conduct effective formal and situation-specific training.Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.Talent Management: Knowledge of human resources and talent management processes; ability to lead, motivate, evaluate, and reward employees at the workplace.Top Candidates for this position may also have:

Summary Pay Range:
$81,370.00 - $122,060.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
