**Job Title: 2nd Shift CNC Machinist** Job Description We are seeking dedicated CNC Machinists for our large machine shop located in Santa Ana, CA. This role is for the 2nd shift, running from 1:00pm to 9:30pm. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating various CNC mills, lathes, and manual machines in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities + Set up CNC lathes, mills, manual machines, and inspection equipment for production jobs efficiently to support a fast-paced environment. + Maintain and update setup procedures for critical processes. + Work from blueprints, job routings, and tooling instructions to maintain close tolerances. + Use computer skills to transfer programs to various CNC machines. + Inspect parts to ensure they meet both dimensional and visual requirements. + Complete all required documentation, including part measurements and shop floor paperwork. + Train and mentor less experienced machinists, particularly in machine setup. + Operate more than one machine when cycle time permits. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills, particularly with experience on Brother, Haas, and Mazak machines. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tooling instructions. + Strong computer skills for transferring CNC programs. + Experience in inspecting parts using calipers and micrometers. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Willingness to learn and grow within the role. + Familiarity with measuring tools and ability to perform light setups. + Experience in writing or editing machine programs is a plus.
