Northrop Grumman is seeking Systems Engineers for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Defense Systems Sector in Roy, UT. The selected candidate will be working on our Systems Engineering Infrastructure team. The engineers develop the systems engineering for building, maintaining, and upgrading all the construction, mechanical, and electrical hardware that supports our weapon systems.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Strategic Deterrent Systems Division (SDSD).

Basic Qualifications

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026.Be majoring in or having majored in Mechanical Engineering, Aeromechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Systems Engineering.Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2026.Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications: 

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higherCurrent active Secret Security Clearance or higherProficiency in NX, DOORS, Cameo, SysML, Systems Requirements, Systems Interfaces, Systems Verification

Intern Pay Range for Roy, UT:

Bachelor’s: $22.25 to $27.25 per hourMaster’s: $32.00- $33.75 per hour
