Centered around the core theme of Learn, Connect, Grow, the program offers a comprehensive blend of opportunities to expand your skills and professional network. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role._ _Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview._ The Summer Intern will support the Payment Operations team by assisting with the organization, maintenance, and documentation of SharePoint sites used for payment-related procedures, controls, and operational records. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented student interested in learning how payment operations, governance, and documentation support regulatory compliance and day-to-day processing activities. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to how SharePoint is used to support ACH, wire transfers, Capital Markets, and other payment functions in a regulated financial environment. Learn through hands-on assignments, structured training, and exposure to both technical and analytical skill development. CIBC leaders are dedicated to your success, ensuring you have the tools and support necessary to maximize the robust opportunities available and achieve a rewarding summer experience. **HOW YOU’LL SUCCEED** + Assist with organizing and maintaining SharePoint libraries containing payment procedures, controls, and reference documents + Upload, tag, and version documents in accordance with payment operations standards and naming conventions + Migrate confidential documents containing sensitive information from SharePoint to PrivateLink. + Support periodic reviews of payment-related documentation to identify outdated or duplicate content + Assist with maintaining SharePoint lists used for tracking attestations, reviews, or operational tasks + Validate document access permissions to ensure appropriate read/edit controls + Collaborate with Payment Operations and Risk partners on SharePoint-related requests **WHO YOU ARE** **Required Skills & Qualifications** + Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field + Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills + Ability to follow documented procedures and governance standards **Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills** + Coursework or interest in payments, banking operations, or financial services + Basic understanding of ACH, wires, or payment processing concepts + Experience using SharePoint lists, metadata, or version history + Introductory exposure to Power Automate or workflow tools **Learning Opportunities** + Exposure to payment operations in a regulated financial environment + Understanding how documentation and controls support ACH and wire processing + Experience supporting audit readiness and governance activities + Development of operational documentation and process improvement skills + Strong written communication skills + Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package.  This role has an expected hourly rate of $25.00 per hour for the State of New York market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position.
