What You Can Expect from Your Summer Internship at Textron Aviation
Be prepared for an internship that provides you with meaningful projects, opportunities to learn new skills, stretch your abilities, and follow your passions as you build your future career. This onsite, paid internship will be a commitment of 20 hours per week for 8 weeks during June and July.

Every internship is unique – and we have a variety of functions to discover depending on your interests:
Aviation Maintenance: Ensure aircraft are safe and working well by performing regular checks and repairs
Business Management: Monitor and coordinate various parts of the company to keep operations running smoothly
Communications: Develop content for our different communication channels
Customer Experience and Events: Ensure customers have a positive experience with our products and services
Engineering: Use science and math to solve problems and create new solutions
Finance Sales: Assist with financial analysis and communicate effectively with customers
Human Resources: Support hiring, employee relations, and compensation
Information Technology: Develop databases and fix software problems
Interior Design and Development: Create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces
Manufacturing: Read blueprints, work with sheet metal, machinery, and tools
What You Need to Be Successful
Must be a current high school student who is 16 years old
Graduating seniors (Dec 2025 or May 2026) are eligible to apply
Priority will be given to current juniors and seniors, and Kansas residents
An on-site interview is required
Commitment to the full 8-week program: Orientation June 4, 2026; Internship runs June 8-July 31, 2026
Familiar with navigating applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Skills such as problem solving, organization, and communication (verbal and written) are helpful
