Northrop Grumman is seeking Associate Embedded Software Engineer and Embedded Software Engineer . This position will be located at our Space Systems Sector in Dulles, VA.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Flight Software Engineering within Space Systems.
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either a level 1 or a level 2. Basic qualifications for an Associate Embedded Software Engineer 1 is a Bachelor’s Degree. Basic qualifications for an Embedded Software Engineer 2 is a Master’s Degree.
A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s and/or Master’s) from an accredited institutionBe majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degreeBe able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)Experience in requirements analysis, modeling and simulation, verification and validation at subsystem and system levelDemonstrated software engineering, controls, or systems engineering leadership experience, preferably with experience in Space Flight Software or Simulation Software.Ability to form strong partnerships to ensure lockstep coordination with adjacent discipline areas and program manager leadershipPreferred Qualifications:
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higherActive TS/SCI clearanceExperience in a technical leadership roleExperience with Earned Value ManagementDemonstrated systems engineering excellence in requirements analysis, modeling and simulation, verification and validation at subsystem and system level or Demonstrated vehicle development, mission systems integration, ground and flight test validation experienceExperience in successfully developing and integrating software and hardware solutions for space applicationsExperience implementing action plans based on metrics and/or root cause/corrective actionsHands-on technical experience with spacecraft or satellite related systemsExperience within Space Flight Software, Simulation SoftwareDemonstrated excellence in C/C++, SVN or GIT, MS Visual Studio or Eclipse and LinuxPay Ranges for Dulles, VA
