The purpose of this internship is to prepare students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization. The program is
designed to provide students with experiences that provide insights into a career with Zebra. Students will be positioned for success with training and hands-on experiences, invited to social and development activities, and provided a professional mentor relationship.

 

We are looking for a dynamic Quality Assurance Intern to join our Global Quality team and pioneer the future of smart manufacturing. In this role, you will build the analytical framework that turns data from Zebra's cutting-edge IoT systems into predictive insights. Your mission will be to develop tools that proactively detect anomalies in our manufacturing processes, ensuring our systems are robust, our quality is world-class, and our customers receive flawless products. This is a unique opportunity to help oversee our global supplier network and make a tangible impact on a global scale.

THIS IS A HYBRID INTERNSHIP. THIS INTERN MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ONSITE AT ZEBRA'S MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO OFFICE AT LEAST 3 DAYS/WEEK.

 

TARGET START DATE - MAY/JUNE 2026


Responsibilities:

After an initial on the job training shadowing senior members of the staff to learn the current state of the art processes, the intern will be responsible for developing tools and generating reports on Zebra products from IOT System.

 

This will include, but not limited to:

API Development and Data Analytics in PythonData Visualizations: SPC controls Heatmaps, pareto charts, etcKnowledge of statistics (mean, standard deviation, normal distributions)Understanding of basic Manufacturing processes and Test systems to draw conclusionsKnowledge of Basic Assembly and Test Fixtures/Tools to help debug issues
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Concurrent enrollment in a degree-seeking post secondary educational institution seeking at least a Bachelor's in engineering, computer science or similar with an anticipated graduation date before June 2027Work authorization in Canada and no requirement of sponsorship now or in the future

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in SW development and testing processes such as unit testing, regression testing, functional testing etc.Some Experience/Knowledge in AI/ML and GenAI based projects.Programming experience in SW languages such as C, C++, C#, python etc.Candidates with strong interest in and/or having done academic course work in any of the following: computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, GenAI, LLM models etc.Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)

 

Rate: CAD $27.00 - CAD $31.50/hourly
