Northrop Grumman is seeking an **Engineer Systems.** This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in **Rancho Bernardo (San Diego), CA** . The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s **Product Support Organization** performing System Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineering Analysis **.** The selected candidate will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Other duties include: + Reliability and Maintainability – Establishing, monitoring, and verifying subsystem Reliability & Maintainability performance requirements for all design changes and new development efforts + Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.Perform R&M allocations and predictions. + Develop Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) analysis + Develop mission reliability analysis + Support the development of teams in the investigation of issuesPerform Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) + Maintain failure database, perform root cause analysis, and track corrective actions through the Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) + Liaison with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and suppliers for the R&M of assigned subsystems + Develop recommended solutions to technical problems assigned **Basic Qualifications for an Engineer Systems (T02)** **A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:** + Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2026. + Be majoring in or having majored in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering. + Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering and 2 years of engineering experience. + Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
