Job Description
Join our dynamic shipping department as a Shipping Associate, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and secure dispatch of parts. You'll be responsible for locating completed parts using our inventory system, identifying which parts need to be shipped, and determining the appropriate packaging methods. This includes building wooden crates to protect and house parts during transit, packing them securely, and staging products for loading onto trucks. Additionally, you may perform small assembly functions to finish products to customer specifications prior to packaging and shipping.
ResponsibilitiesGather and package parts in wooden crates to protect them during transit.Use various tools including saws, drills, nail guns, and tape measures to create crates as needed.Systematically locate parts using a computer, create shipping lists, and communicate with other employees.Pick, pack, and kit parts efficiently.Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move skids, pallets, and raw materials.Utilize blueprints to assemble small assemblies to support the processes and the shop team.Essential Skills1+ year experience operating a forklift.1+ year experience in shipping, inventory management, RF scanners, loading, and unloading.Ability to operate a stand-up forklift.Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office and AS400.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to operate other equipment as needed.Attention to detail and accuracy.Dependability in task execution.Why Work Here?

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
