1st Shift Quality Technician Paying 21/hr
**Job Title: Quality Technician** **Job Description** As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for conducting pre-operational checks, including visual inspections of production areas, ATP swabbing, allergen swabbing, and coordinating recleaning and sanitizing. You will also verify documentation for production finished processing, ensuring proper metal detection performance, finished product settings, batch ratios, code dates, labels, stickers, weights, packaging materials, and product changeover. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required. Additionally, you will perform pH testing, salt testing, and temperature checks on fish, complete all necessary paperwork daily, and enter data into electronic logs. You will prepare and review quality SOPs and SSOPs, and ensure all tests are sent to a third-party lab. **Responsibilities** + Conduct pre-operational checks and visual inspections of production areas. + Perform ATP and allergen swabbing, and coordinate recleaning/sanitizing. + Verify documentation of production finished processing, including metal detection and packaging details. + Perform pH, salt testing, and temperature checks on fish products. + Complete daily paperwork and enter data into electronic logs. + Prepare and review quality SOPs and SSOPs. + Send all test samples to a third-party lab for analysis. **Essential Skills** + 1-2 years of experience in Quality Assurance. + 1-2 years of experience in Food Manufacturing. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. + Experience in pH testing, quality control, and swabbing. + Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Basic PLC troubleshooting, fabrication, and TIG welding. + Vendor management and industrial troubleshooting. + Understanding of electrical systems including 3-phase motors. + Building maintenance skills including HVAC, schematic, and blueprint reading. + Spanish language skills are a plus. **Why Work Here?** Join a company with a rich 125+ year history offering strong job security as a Union 399 shop. You will join a small maintenance team as the third member, dealing with a fishy smell for which masks are available due to GMP standards.
