**Job Title: Control Panel Builder**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Control Panel Builder to join our team. You will be responsible for constructing control panels, including cutting metal boxes to specifications, laying out hardware, drilling, tapping holes, and performing final assembly. Your tasks will also involve cutting back plates, mounting various hardware components, and assembling panels. You must be proficient in reading schematics as this will be a core part of your role. The job requires the use of various hand and power tools and includes general shop clean-up duties. Candidates should be comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds.
**Responsibilities**
+ Cut metal boxes to specifications and lay out hardware.
+ Drill and tap holes for mounting hardware.
+ Perform final assembly on control panels.
+ Cut back plates and mount various hardware components.
+ Read and interpret schematics for panel construction.
+ Use hand and power tools and saws to complete tasks.
+ Maintain general shop cleanliness.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1-3 years of panel building experience.
+ Proficiency in reading electrical schematics.
+ Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
+ Possession of personal tools for panel building.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with mechanical assembly and troubleshooting.
+ Knowledge of 480v electrical systems.
+ Capability in control panel wiring and mechanical assembly.

**Work Environment**
The role involves custom machine integration and panel wiring for manufacturing sectors such as agriculture, storage, mills, and food packaging. Expect to travel 20% of the time, with notifications provided up to 6 weeks in advance. Travel destinations often include Buffalo, NY; Baltimore, MA; Savannah, GA; San Francisco, CA; and West Palm Beach, FL. Work hours are typically from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with extended hours during travel periods to ensure prompt job completion. The position offers a competitive pay range based on experience, transitioning to a permanent role after a 6-month contract period, during which travel responsibilities commence.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maumee, Ohio.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
