1st Shift Machinist

Position Overview

The Machinist supports high-volume production by operating CNC and PLC-controlled machining equipment to produce high-quality components. Ideal candidates have experience in metal cutting, CNC machine operation, blueprint/GD&T interpretation, and excel in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is part of a stable, growth-focused manufacturing environment that provides predictable shifts, consistent hours, and long-term advancement opportunities. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, comfort using computer-based systems, and the ability to make real-time adjustments to ensure precision, quality, and consistent machine performance.


Schedule: 1st Shift Monday – Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

 

Pay:

0-1 Years of Experience: $25.60

2 Years of Experience: $27.27 

3 Years of Experience: $28.94 

4 Years of Experience: $31.16 

5 Years of Experience: $33.67

 

We are offering $1,000 Sign-On bonuses for experienced Machinists paid out after 90 days of employment!


Responsibilities

Monitors computer screens and interprets data to determine that process is running according to control planResponds to machine faults and takes corrective actionTroubleshoots work-related problems and makes repairs on the spot as neededDocuments rework and scrap using the non-conforming material procedureObserves tool wear detection and makes tooling changes when requiredWorks in teams to identify and implement process improvements and error proofing proceduresInstructs and certifies other machine technicians to ensure compliance with quality operating standardsVerifies compliance with process instructions and control plans, reports deviations to Group LeaderEnters defect data into the computerVerifies gage calibration requirements for engine componentsAnticipates potential production problems by proactively reviewing equipment condition and initiating corrective action when needed.Monitors special characteristics to ensure compliance with control plan requirementsWorks safely to prevent on-the-job injuries and complies with all safety and environmental requirementsUses computers to interpret and evaluate production data
Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
