**1st Shift Machine Builders** + **_South Haven_** + **_Multiple Openings_** + **_$22/hour_** + **_45 hours/week MAX_** Job Description As a Machine Builder, you will be responsible for constructing a variety of machines, both large and small, all designed for food-grade applications. You will engage in wiring panels, reading schematics, and building crates for shipping the completed machines. This role requires expertise in both mechanical and electrical domains, involving tasks such as assembly, small welding jobs, use of hand tools, and installation of electrical panels. + Build and assemble machines using mechanical and electrical components. + Wire panels and read schematics for electrical assembly. + Build crates for shipping completed machines. + Perform mechanical tasks including assembly, small welds, and use of hand tools. + Read and interpret blueprints and electrical prints for machine assembly. + Proficiency in wiring inside panels. + Experience in machine assembly beyond simple part fitting. + Ability to read and interpret schematics. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Welding experience, particularly TIG welding. + Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). + Pneumatic system experience. + Machining skills. Work Environment Work the first shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm in a spacious 80,000 sq. ft. facility. The environment includes a dedicated office area, assembly plant, and areas for shipping and machining. The plant houses legacy equipment and supports a casual to business casual dress code. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Haven, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $22.00/hr.
