In this role you may be expected to:
Compile daily inventory reports as well as system audits to reconcile the actual number of parts in the factory with system records.Ensure that inventory is sufficient to meet build requirements and to communicate potential shortages to material planners.Coordinate and monitor off-line rework activities.Complete daily inventory counts for all production material and work with various departments to trace and locate missing material.Produce reports on inventory discrepancies due to unrecorded movement.Gather data from various tools and tooling systems and prepare data reports for calibration analysis and review.Catalogue quality issues into a computer system and flag defects for repair.Basic Qualifications:
Must have experience in heavy equipment manufacturingMust have Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in Microsoft ExcelMust be able to operate an order picker safely and efficiently to support daily warehouse operations.Physical requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
Work at heights of up to 20 feet from the floorMust be able to frequently lift and carry material weighing up to 35 pounds for intervals of 15 to 30 minutesWork in an environment with frequently changing temperaturesWalk, squat and bend over for intervals of 15-30 minutesTop Candidates will also have:
Powered industrial truck experienceLogistics/Warehouse experiencePositive attendance recordIntermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in SAP softwareMach 1 experienceIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsForklift experienceInventory control experienceAn understanding of Logistics facility and Excavator/Tractor Product LineIntermediate proficiency in functional areas of logistics such as: Inventory Management, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Storeroom Operations and TransportationExcellent written and oral communicationGood attendance, excellent customer service focus, and the ability to handle stress and often work at an urgent paceGood interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environmentInitiative, good analytical and organizational skillAdditional information: Resumes are encouraged for all applicants. 1st Shift Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6 am – 2:30 pm
Summary Pay Range:
$20.15 - $25.15Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
