Job Description
We are seeking dedicated individuals for the role of 1st Shift Production Operators, specializing in extrusion equipment operations. Candidates will be meticulously trained to operate various extrusion machinery, which includes setting up machines based on production orders, maintaining production quality, obtaining samples for quality control, labeling, and packing finished products.
ResponsibilitiesCheck operating controls and safety of equipment prior to operation.Obtain material for processing from inventory bins, advising the supervisor if damaged, defective, or missing material is found.Set up machines based on production orders.Monitor material quality for any defects and adjust machine parameters as needed.Label and pack finished products as they are produced on the machine per work order instructions.Review work orders and drawings, resolving any conflicts.Wear a respirator to perform machine setup.Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.Comply with OHSA safety standards when performing job duties.Notify supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent work experience.Must have 2 years of experience in Heavy General Labor, Heavy Machine operating, Carpentry, or Construction.Good attendance and hard work in a manufacturing environment.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsTeamwork and collaboration skills.Fast learner with patience.Self-motivated.Some power tool and mechanical skills.Interest in operating machinery.Some Microsoft Office skills.Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally.Must have good job tenure; candidates with 3 jobs in 3 years will not be considered.Why Work Here?

Work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment that is part of a division of Airtech Advanced Materials Group, the largest manufacturer of vacuum bagging and composite tooling materials. Products include vacuum bagging films, release films, pressure sensitive tapes, mold releases, peel plies, breathers, sealant tapes, vacuum bag connectors, hoses, rubber pressure pads, cutting tools, vacuum leak detectors, shrink tape, PTFE coated fiberglass, tooling prepregs and resins, and carbon and glass reinforcements. Focus areas include aerospace, wind energy, marine, automotive, printed circuit board, solar energy, and general FRP composites.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, California.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.75 - $22.75/hr.
