Job Description
The CNC Production Supervisor is responsible for leading production employees during an assigned shift. This role involves performing similar work to that of the subordinates while also supervising their performance to ensure efficiency and adherence to company standards.
ResponsibilitiesSupervise team to meet expectations of safety rules and regulations, quality standards, customer satisfaction, productivity, and on-time delivery.Coordinate activities of saw production, material handling, and shipping/receiving.Maintain records, safety, production, attendance, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions, reporting to the Operations Manager.Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.Analyze and resolve work problems and assist production employees in resolving issues.Reassign tasks and change work roles of team members as necessary.Coordinate schedules, assign responsibilities, and ensure smooth operations during the shift.Control expenditures of departmental consumables including packaging supplies.Report notable events or problems to the appropriate level.Collaborate with the Operations Manager to meet organizational goals.Train team members on the latest revisions to company policies and procedures.Ensure orders are processed per specifications and on time without exception.Operate production equipment as required.Adhere to all company policies and procedures and ensure they are communicated and implemented within the team.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Two or more years of related experience working with saws or machinery.One or more years of managerial/supervisory experience.Strong written and oral communication skills.Good organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.Ability to read and calculate numbers and data.Proficiency in measurement using different tools.Operate with high integrity and ensure same standards from subordinates.Strong work ethic and initiative-taking attitude.Additional Skills & QualificationsOne or more years in the metals service center industry preferred.Experience in the machine shop aviation experience preferred.Five years of manufacturing supervisor experience preferred.Knowledge of production, supervision, production management, continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, supervisory skills, scheduling, overseeing candidates, managing people, conflict resolution, and Six Sigma.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The role is based in a production and machining facility primarily dealing with aviation parts. Work involves frequent visual/auditory attention, continuous use of computers, and exposure to hazardous machinery, sharp tools, moving objects, noise, heat, and humidity.
