Job Title: Production Assembler-$19/hr

Job Description

Perform basic assembly work, which is repetitive in nature, and interpret drawings and assembly instructions both verbally and in writing. Operate production machines to produce parts in accordance with established company standards and guidelines. Use hand tools to assemble products and report any workmanship defects or flaws immediately to management. Detect and report any machine or tool malfunctions, prepare parts for painting or shipping by gluing, taping, and cleaning. Maintain a clean and safe environment and document production activities as requested. Additional tasks may include counting, packaging, labeling, or bagging produced parts or raw materials in preparation for kitting, as well as small part mechanical assembly and occasional use of a microscope.

Work Environment

The work environment is a startup setting, with the production floor partially complete and improvements ongoing. Each assembler will have their own workstation with tools and a microscope. The position is mostly sitting, with some standing and light lifting involved. The dress code is manufacturing casual, including closed-toe shoes, pants, t-shirts, and jackets. Working hours are Monday through Friday, first shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Employees should be prepared to park and walk 2-3 minutes to the site in the morning, which may be dark at that time.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Poway, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr.
